Late Summer, Late Afternoon

These are mostly weedy relics from spring - all dried out but still have some beauty about them especially with the sun behind.

In extras are a lovely Spoonbill having a conversation with a lonely Ibis along with some Wood ducks hanging about at the lake. Its funny to see only one ibis as there are usually a large group over there. The level of the lake is very low as we haven't really had any rain since last year. The nearby feeder creek is completely dry!

Its been a pleasant quiet day and I allowed myself to relax a bit, ahhh it was wonderful! ; )
