St Queran’s Well

This morning we went on a wee adventure to find St Queran’s Well. We took the sign posted path from Islesteps up a hill and across more fields and a single track rd and then found the well at the bottom of the hill. A sweet spot with trees around it , a Clootie tree , and other offerings.
The well is reputed to have healing properties and people have been visiting it for hundreds of years . In around 1870 the well was cleaned out and they found hundreds of coins , some dating back to the 16th Century. We found the place really peaceful.
Later on we met our friend Julia at my Mums flat and we moved a couple of old single beds for the council to collect tomorrow. They were not good enough for the charity shop to take due.
Im teaching 2 yoga classes this evening, one on Zoom as the Hall is not available and then later at Clarencefield, around 9 miles away in a village hall.
