Smiley dogs

They may look like they’re smiling, but Cholmeley is really putting on a brave face. He’s quite lame as a result of this walk. Firstly, and stupidly, he jumped up onto the front seat of the car in his eagerness to go, hurt his back leg in the process and then added to the pain by jumping out of the boot once we arrived at Trent Park. Our boot is high up. Too high for a 13-year old lab.

And then a much larger dog mounted him and his rear end just went splat, with both legs forced outwards and we had to help him stand and get up. Poor poor thing.

Mabel just gallops around like an excited greyhound.

4 of us, feeling a tad weary, went swimming this evening at London Fields Lido. Nice to do and finish off though as Elbows had to work today.
