Sleuths
When I was a kid I loved reading Donald Sobel’s Two Minute Mysteries. They were short stories containing clues and information to help the reader solve mysteries • Are you up for a little sleuthing yourself? If so, put your detective hat on, and continue ahead. I’ll include the answers at the bottom, but try not to peek too soon :)
A/ There is a man walking down the road dressed entirely in black. There are no lights on anywhere, and no moon. A car with no lights comes down the road and manages to avoid the man. How?
B/ You walk into a room with only one match. You must light a lantern, a gas stove, the pilot light of a water heater and a fire in a fireplace. What do you light first?
C/ Two bodies are lying in a puddle of water and there is broken glass all about. How did they die?
If you play, let me know how you do! It’s all for fun so it doesn’t matter how many you solve correctly • We put off shoveling because of the blustery 45mph wind gusts today, and with no storms in sight this week, we can finish at our leisure • Here are today’s mystery answers: A - It’s daytime! B - The match! C - The bodies are fish whose tank fell and broke! • Peace & Love
