On a clear day you can see for ever

A very clear, crisp day.  I took a walk up Gummer's How and found that I could see not only Blackpool Tower and Big Dipper (about 40 miles away) but also the Welsh hills in the far distance (about 80 miles away).  The extra shows the view looking over Ulverston to the Submarine Sheds at Barrow and the wind farm and gas rigs well out to sea.  The Helvellyn range, Scafell and Skiddaw were all capped with snow above about 3000ft.
