Kestrel

I spent to much time putting off doing a job I needed to do today, so didn't get out till quite late. I went for a walk around Badbury Rings and spotted this kestrel high up in a tree. Zoomed, cropped and quite a bit of work to reveal some detail, so it doesn't bear close scrutiny, but he looked rather cute, all fluffed up - presumably because it was jolly cold!

We had a talk at camera club last night by someone who was particularly fond of b&w landscapes in portrait mode. It seems a while since I've done one of those but I am rather fond of them myself!
