Ferries past and present

International Women’s Day and a perfect day for a ferry trip to Woy Woy, hot but with a beautiful breeze off the water.
 
The surprise of the day was the ferry. She was very different from the sleek catamaran we expected. Apparently one of those was in dock having engine repairs, and this is the backup boat. She’s eighty years old. A nice historical record but not what you would call comfortable.
 
The first extra shows the regular ferry and the backup. As the second extra shows, the captain was quite relaxed about it all.
 
The fish’n’chips at Woy Woy were excellent and we got a catamaran on the return trip.
