Tuesday Again

The weeks go by so quickly, I can't believe it is swim lesson day again. This is a photo of Ellie before her lesson; we got there quite early today. These lessons are disappearing rapidly, and Ellie still struggles with putting her face in the water. Her teacher is super patient and doesn't push the children; she never lets go of the child completely. The other children are even more fearful than Ellie. I think it would be better for Ellie if the other children were more advanced; I think she might be more likely to want to keep up with them. But I am grateful that she is happily going to the lessons and she really wants to learn to swim.

Ellie and I talk all the time, especially in the car, and today she said, "GG, I talk more with you than anyone; Vina (her Grandmother's sister) doesn't speak English and Grandma & Grandpa are always busy or working."  Later she said, "When Haley and Carly graduate from college will they get married and have babies?" (They graduate from their Universities this Spring) I told her that they would take their time and wait to make sure they fell in love and married the right person. Ellie said, "My primary language is English and I want my husband to speak my language so we can talk all the time. I will pick a man who speaks English". She is a thinker and already weighing the value of someone she can easily talk to when she gets married. She is 5!!!
