Oyster fishing boats

On our drive from Hui to Hoi An we stopped off at a village where oyster fishing seems to be the main activity. ( apart from encouraging tourists to stop and buy photos etc ! ) . Needless to say there were photos to be taken so I have used 2 of them .

This was our first sight of the Vietnamese mountains and shortly after this we drove across the high mountain pass towards Danang - not a road for the faint hearted. Supposedly no overtaking didn’t stop a petrol tanker and mopeds overtaking a bus in front of us on the narrow road with blind bends approaching.

We are now in Hoi An and looking forward to exploring tomorrow with our guide. She has promised me I will be able to  see water buffalo as we passed some tethered in the rice fields on our way here. That should interest Mrs AMK !!
