My sister's lily garden

I spent the morning doing school prep and then went off to Pick n' Pay with Mr G to shop for the week.

When we woke-up we we heard the sad news that a well-known TV and radio journalist had died last night. Vuyo Mbuli was the face of morning TV for decades now. It will be very strange not to see or hear him again. He was a patriotic citizen with such a warm way of interviewing people that everybody trusted him when he brought us the news! RIP Vuyo, gone too soon.

On the way to Pick n' Pay we heard on the news that they had been held up this morning. I listened to the radio and realised that it was the store that we were going to. Only in South Africa could we arrive a few hours after an armed robbery and parking lot shoot-out to find that it was back to business as usual!

In the afternoon I took daughter T to my sister for some extra accounting lessons. As soon as the sun goes down it is freezing and I couldn't wait to get home and get into bed.
