Very, Very Strange

Melting snow and howling winds will produce some very strange icicles but in the 28 winters I have lived here, I've never seen one like this.  Not only is the large one in front wrapping around the porch post, but it is also so crystal clear that you can see right through it.  Just a slight shadow and highlight gives you any indication it is there.  As Alice would say, "Curiouser and curiouser!"  I certainly wouldn't want to be standing under those icicles when they come down!
