Snowy magnolia

We woke up today to a garden covered with a light blanket of snow and then it started to snow in big fluffy snowflakes, resulting in snow-decked trees and shrubs. It has stopped snowing now and the snow is thawing  now. For Wild Wednesday with thanks to Cailleach :-)

It's also International Women's Day today, in Italy that gets celebrated with mimosa flowers as in the extra, I hope one year soon we can actually celebrate that in all equality, for now it looks as if it's one step forward, two steps backwards. Almost 50 years ago I studied structural engineering at the Delft University of Technology and was one of the approximately 300 girls amongst 10.000 boys studying there. Nowadays there are almost 50 % female students, so that is progress. But there are still so many fields in which the old inequalities rule. How weird is it that half of humanity is systematically discriminated against everywhere ?
