Mimosa

The flowers are supposed to be Mimiosa as the symbol of International Women's Day. I didn't actually meet any women today, nor did I see any Mimosa flowers.

For the first I had to resort to a photo of Queen Victoria; for the second I downloaded a picture from the internet.

I awoke to read the temperature outside was minus nine, and I think the high today was one degree. Thanks to the sunshine the pavements are reasonably clear. There are a few icy patches where the snow is shaded from the sun.
