Rock textures, Buttermere

We had a fairly easy day today, walking up Rannerdale valley and down the side of Buttermere (saving ourselves for a longer walk tomorrow). The camera club's Facebook page now has a monthly theme - this month it's textures. So I spent a happy half-hour looking at the textures of rock down the side of Buttermere.

Putting them together I tried to get the lines in the background matching up with the lines in the three foreground shots (as much as I could)!

As tomorrow is Debs Birthday, we went out to dinner at Lyzzick Hall along the side of Bassenthwaite - always excellent service and fabulous food.
