Promise of things to come!

On arrival home yesterday from two weeks holiday, we trawled round the garden to see what had happened. Today, having first discovered that, after a holiday, we are still solvent (some work on the computer) I face that garden. Do I tackle the lawn first, or the weeds, or the planting that is overdue - or just test whether the garden bench still works?

Last night I took a picture or two/three and decided this morning which to Blip, retrospectively. The large white flowers of the rhubarb, which should have been taken off! The 31 yellow tulips and one rogue red one on the 'Well'? The beckoning veg patch? The weeds, courtesy mainly of the adjacent Great North of Scotland train line?

I finally brought my choice down to the Japanese Cherry, a Prunus Amanogawa, the tall flame of which will delight me shortly. At present it provides exciting promise...!
