Dundee Day trip
Me, my husband and youngest daughter went to Dundee for the day. It was mainly to visit one of our daughters who's studying there at the moment, but also we thought it would be nice to have a look around and see the still relatively new V&A Museum by the waterfront, as well as the (municipal) McManus Art Gallery and Museum. It was fun to see Caitlin, and also to get away somewhere different for the day - even if a bit tiring having to drive there and back. It was another Teachers Strike day across Scotland, so that meant our youngest (17 year old) was able to come with us instead of being at school.
The boat you see in the first extra is the one Captain Scott sailed in to the Antarctic, on his doomed polar expedition. The second to last extra I thought was a very questionable planning decision on behalf of the city, as well as ironic branding right next to a church spire! I'm guessing the post box is a Victorian era one, though haven't actually checked yet.
