Yellow Eyed Penguin

Unique to New Zealand, the hoiho, or yellow-eyed penguin, is thought to be one of the world's rarest penguin species. It’s numbers are declining, so every one we can save is important. This beauty is very underweight. I picked up 40 kg of frozen sardines today from a local fishery. Hopefully our Hoiho will enjoy.
