Babies at last!

Every day I cycle past a really grotty dead end part of the river. Its full of rubbish and not the sort of place you would expect a beautiful creature like a swan to make a nest. But a pair of swans nest here year after year. Last year was tragic as the nest got flooded and none of the eggs hatched. I have seen the swans near the nest only once this year and that was ages ago. Then today as I cycles past a swan caught my eye and I went closer to have a look. I nearly cried when I saw the 3 cygnets. They could barely stand so must have hatched very recently. I am so pleased for Mum and Dad
