Threave

We had a zoom up to Threave hoping that the low cloud and drizzle would disappear by the time we got to Castle Douglas. It didn't.

I think we were a fortnight (if not more) too late for the daffodils and a month too early for most of the other plants.

There were quite a few Rhododendron bushes absolutely covered in flowers, and there was plenty of blossom to be seen. But that was about it. We still had a lovely wander around the gardens, I love the walled garden most. To be honest, I love any walled garden! I think it must come from watching "The Secret Garden" when younger. One day my numbers are going to come up and I'm going to have one of my very own....
