Skating on thin ice!

Very cold today with no sunshine to add a little warmth. I don't think the birds on Maxwell Park pond noticed .... this Moorhen's feet and legs didn't turn blue with the cold.

He made his way carefully across one of the areas with a thin layer of ice to an area of open water where he joined up with the Mallards and Tufted Ducks.
