Little girls, big dog

Another gorgeous day today.

I would have liked to have gone to Porty again... but the Edinburgh Marathon had taken over that side of town... Oh well...

So we decided to take a wee walk to the Botanics.

So, down through Inverleith Park... Past the pond, where the radio-controlled boat crowd were out in force... The old guys, with their nicely crafted yachts and battleships... The young guys with their speedboats terrorising the poor swans...

Up into the park proper, where the marquees indicated that something was going on... The "Taste of Edinburgh" food festival... That looked interesting... It suddenly looked less interesting when we found out that it would cost us £16 each to get in... Oh well...

Through the park and past the marquees to the West Gate of the Botanics... Only to discover that the West Gate was closed because they're building a big something there... Couldn't be bothered traipsing round to the North Gate then, later, back from the North Gate... Oh well...

Turned round... park... pond... home... A lovely wee wander in the sun, even if it didn't quite go as planned :-)

Imp has gone West. Monday next. What a drag.
