Calm before the storm

After a lovely evening getting to meet Cameron we had a late meal then after midnight I took the dog for a walk.

The air was chilly but still and there was a lovely view of the castle and priory reflected in the river,

The day was spent, mainly, assisting and helping the new family getting into a routine. I had a 70 minute spell with Cameron asleep on me which was lovely. I gave the mums a chance to rest and relax. When he became a bit restless it was time to hand him over. The privileges of being a grandparent.

The day which started calmly has turned into sleet with wind. I am not looking forward to tonight’s walk!
