Hardy Little Suckers

Glorious sunshine and 5 degrees C are incredibly forecast by the Met Office for this coming afternoon - which is currently hard to believe given it is still lightly snowing outside at breakfast. Inside, temperatures are also still feeling cold, and I am still double-jumpered.

Despite the current cold snap, I remain in awe at the fortutude of MrsB’s beloved tropical Hoya plants thriving over winter whilst sat on our north-facing window sill with a backdrop of old and draughty single-glazing.

I read today that scientific experiments on the evergreen Hoya proved they also demonstrate good ‘super removal efficieny’ to remove toxins like Benzene and other ‘volatile organic compounds’ from our indoor air.
