here!  Lovely sunshine and walks.
Yay for the weekend :-)

Another night of high blood sugars that disturbed us a bit.  Managed to get it under control before school but then I watched on my phone as it went really high again throughout the day.  So frustrating.  I had a call with the diabetic nurse who had a couple of hints but I'm not wildly hopeful that it will make enough of a difference quickly enough.. we'll see.  
I did some washing and shopping, made a pasta bake for the boys' tea and some seasoning for some fish for us for later.  Workmen had closed our road off in a really weird way.  There were some road works on the bigger road that we live off and they had just shut off the end of our road to store their vehicles, it was quite annoying to see there was no actual work going on but I couldn't get to the drive.  Oh well, it was all cleared up by the time I brought Ben home, so at least I could get him straight in :-) 
I've had a couple of nice walks with Leo today, it's been cold but bright and we went to the park near Ben's school, both in the morning and before pick up.  We explored some of the side paths and trails, there was much more to see than I thought and I found a new way to get into the park which is nearer to where I park the car, so that was a success.  The photo I picked is just fun, the sun shining across and Leo darting left and right, with the lead being whipped around.  He was definitely having fun.
Ben was anxious when I picked him up, he wanted a Diet Coke that he'd earned for his work experience in the cafe and he wouldn't take no for an answer.  It all sort of worked out and he's been OK since then.  His bloods were high but they came down with a block of insulin and now I just need to change the settings on the pod for tonight and hope that things go a bit better.  
I had hoped that we would have heard from our new social worker before the end of the week but despite me chasing on Wednesday there's no sign of her yet.  I'll get back on it next week.
It's Friday night though, so that's a good thing.
