Sunset

Over the Bosphorous, Golden Horn and Sea of Marmara, being uploaded as the call to prayer blasts deafeningly echoes hauntingly around the neighborhood (there is also another mosque directly below the frame of this shot).

Somehow, one of the million street cats has got stuck in a shutter roller beside our apartment entrance and has miaowed plaintively for 24 hours. So I now feel compelled to try to rescue it from a fairly impossible predicament. I almost killed myself doing this once before when a kitten had got stuck in the top of a neighbours palm tree - I was hesitant to interfere but they were delighted someone was going to shut it up. Anyway, that rescue did not end well, date palms are spiky and pretty close to impenetrable without a machete. Must remember gloves this time.
