Quite a splash!

I had to go down to Mintlaw this afternoon so I popped in past Pitfour Lake. I expected it to be frozen over as Strichen Lake was this morning, but it wasn’t which is great for the birds.
A few swans practising flying!
The spreading of their feathers just amazes me.
