Snowday
Woke to 4-6 inches of snow in a hushed Leeds.
By 11am we had a beautiful blue, blue sky. The melt started almost immediately with the gentle warmth of the March sun creating the sound of trickling water and showers of snow lumps falling from trees.
I saw a fox on Henconner Lane on my way up to the park. Harrogate Road was quite as I crossed over to the graveyard which was very pretty and tranquil. The park was full of colourful outfits and a variety of activities as families made the most of a snowday off together as some local schools were closed and parents chose to WFH.
With clear night skies the temperature has dropped to -5 so we will have problems with icy surfaces and compacted snow in the morning.
But it was magical today!
