A burst of winter

The view of the snow-covered Lake District from our house and garden was just amazing today! 
I managed to get some time off this afternoon, so I could get out for a walk to enjoy the sunshine and bright day. Max and I went for a walk along the river and apart from the ducks, we encountered a heron and a little egret. We are so lucky to live in a wonderful part of the world!
I just had to put lots of extras today :)
