Manhatta …

… an image from a film of that name produced in 1920 by Paul Strand and Charles Sheeler—nine minutes long and shown today at the Fondation Henri Cartier-Bresson in Paris. It accompanied exhibitions by Strand (1890-1976) and Helen Levitt (1913-2009)—another American photographer of that period. We had a very worthwhile visit.
