Layers of colour this eve on my dog walk. Plenty of snow still around in the shade despite a glorious sunny afternoon.
Short and calm schooling ride in the field with masses of transitions , changes of direction and rein back. Nearly all done in walk at different speeds and just a little trot. She was as good as gold and listened ( and sighed … all rather low speed and boring for her)! I’m sticking with this as we are building listening and responsiveness , no more bolting allowed . She got mane and tail titivation too. White horse hair is now on everything ! Spring is coming and that thick coat is starting to shed, looking forward to warm spring days .
