Struie Sunset

I headed north tonight to visit my parents, three and a half hours up the A9. Although I was late in leaving Edinburgh, my timing was perfect and I arrived at the Struie viewpoint just as the sun was beginning to set. It's rare, at any time, for the visibility to be good enough for you to see Ben More Assynt (998m and the highest point in Sutherland) let alone to see it bathed in such spectacular light. Breathtaking.
