Nothing like a few hours at the ponds...

After a very solid nights rest, Friday went nearly perfect. A pickup pulling a storage trailer lost a tire - but was able to safely pull over and that tire ended up in the median. After work I headed to the ponds to see the herons but nobody was home. So I started photographing the ducks and other birds that were around. I kept a lookout just in case one would show up and I saw this bird up in a tree at a good distance away - this photo is heavily cropped. I think it is a red-tailed hawk but I'm not 100% sure.
