Tree planting.

We had a village tree planting event today. A forgotten corner of the children’s playground has been set aside for a little copse of trees. It started with one tree planted to commemorate the late  Queen’s platinum jubilee. Of course with her death a coronation will soon follow so the copse is to be  known as the Coronation Copse. 
Many people have sponsored trees and today we had an event to plant them all. There were also food and drink, a tombola, an Archery area set up and a blessing of the trees.
