Grey Heron

The park was quite busy this morning. Not many dogs, just people out walking. That is enough though to keep the herons in the water behind the fence. When it is busy I am happier with that too as they are much safer. There were 4 over to the edge today, my usual 3 youngsters and the adult male (it is the young male in todays shot). I managed to feed them all which was good. There were more crows about today and they got thier biscuits. On the way home the crows were flying ahead of me then landing so they were facing me in order to catch my attention. There is a point just before the main road that they never seem to pass. I usually stop just before it and turn round in case there is one behind me. Today there was one a good way back on top of a lamppost. I stood watching it and to my amazement it flew right the way up to me. I was glad I had a biscuit left!
