Sunshine kisses
Poor Jacob has croup. After a scary night where he couldn't sleep and was struggling to breathe, we ended up at the doctors first thing this morning, who sent us off to the children's hospital.
He was given steroids and we had to wait there for an age so they could monitor him. Thankfully Maureen arrived to cheer us both up and to take us home.
This afternoon included lots of treats, playing and reading in the garden to cheer Jacob up. Stephan and I both tried pushing the pushchair around the garden, but it was so hot Jacob just couldn't sleep, so we walked to the park instead. On the way home Henny discovered the joy of swimming for the first time, and swam from one river bank to the other over and over again. Much to Jacob's delight she would climb out each time and do a big shake, normally soaking me!
Jacob fell asleep at 6.30 and wasn't wheezing, so fingers crossed the steroids have kicked in and he will feel a little better tomorrow.
