Looking at Willow

Today I've been looking at willow.  I've meant to get a shot of the new leaves unfurling on weeping willow and at last today I did.

So, the leaves on the left are weeping willow (and notice the catkin at the top of the stem, I've never seen this before).  The shot top right, is goat willow and bottom right is simply confusing!

The rest of the day has been pretty laid back - walk for Hazel, lots of Wolf Hall read - isn't it fabulous - and a long talk to Big Sis.  Very nice ;))
