Chitty Band call

Ist rehearsal this afternoon for the band for a production the Bourn Players have been working on since October.  I wish I'd been practicing since October...

It was exciting, and scary and very very fast with so many incidentals that I've had to write on the part my more familiar notes.  (My brain can't compute quickly enough what A# is when I'm more familiar with B flat).  Where I kept up with where I was in the score it sounded nice, and as the tunes are familiar I hope I can work it out.

I travelled with Carmen, who lives in Linton who plays 'reeds' and brought 4 instruments with her which she swapped and changed throughout the rehearsal (extra).  Now that's super impressive and I'm very much in awe.
