10 pennies = £1
Anyone who remember playing The Penny Slots during the 1940s or 1950s will remember these machines.
You can still play them at the end of Southport Pier. But beware, it's a bloody long pier and it'll cost you £1 for 10 old pennies (that's 10 new pence for 1 old one)!
You could get the tram back, but that'll cost you £2.
