The Davis House

Back on New Year's Day, I blipped a photo of this house when the tree cutters were starting to clear the land. Apparently, I wasn't the only one interested in the goings-on in Mechanicsville. Someone posted an article from the St. Mary's County Enterprise about the house on a local Facebook forum. They included some family photos that show what a beautiful home it once was. (extras)
The trees are cleared and the house is still standing on the hill overlooking the highway.
