Another Painting By David Lee
Following the recent entry which featured the charcoal drawing of a saxophone by David Lee Saxophone today’s Blipfoto is a section of a the largest painting David created for his Degree Display in 1984.
It features a 19th century house under reconstruction. The painting is rather large measuring 2.2 metres by 1.4 metres.
The paint was applied to 9mm thick marine ply coated in gesso. It is a painting not easily moved.
I have made several enquiries about David, but no one seems to know where he is now.
This is another day for staying indoors. It is very cold and windy, however there is no snow outside despite the yellow warnings.
