Female blackbird in the birdbath

I was pleased to see this female blackbird at all let alone having a quick bath. The snow had melted earlier but there w ere still snow flurries just about turning to drizzle.

We have two pairs of blackbirds visiting our gardens and probably nesting nearby in the scrubby land on the steep slope beyond the end of the garden. I'm looking forward to their delightful springtime singing at the end of the balmier days to come.

This was another picture taking through the double-glazed window of my study. If I'd opened them there would have been no picture. I'm hope=ing better blips will arrive before too liong when Ki feel able to get out and about more readily.
