In harbour

A great German cruise ship watched over by a statue of Columbus. He would have been amazed to see a ship of that size and scale though I’m not sure whether these top heavy ships could cross the Atlantic.
We were on our way to church which we do in Madeira. The building is square of classical design topped by a large dome under which is a circular gallery. Attendance very good with most taking communion, a mixture of visitors and residents.
This was followed a traditional lunch of espedata,beef on a Laurel skewer with super chips, salad and maize cubes at L’Espacio where we always come on Sunday iMadeira.l’espacio
