The King's child

A patron at the library who reads a lot of books written for children and young adults told me I had to read this one. And I'm glad I did. It's written for 12-up. It's a story taking place in a little far away village during the reign of King Solomon (from the Bible). He "visits" women all over his Kingdom. Hence the King's child. A daughter with his eyes. Years later her mother has another baby, but that one gets stolen. Of course it all ends well when two mothers confront King Solomon with this dilemma...

It was a wonderful story. Unfortunately not translated into English. So unless you can read Dutch, you won't have much use for this book tip. ;-) Sorry, better luck next time.
