A life less ordinary

Monty's secretary during World War II was none other than my Dad's Auntie Joyce. My abiding memory of Joyce is of a chuckling, beaming woman who gave me cuddles, who people instantly warmed to and was all about family.

Joyce's husband, my great Uncle Albert, had his own notable wartime experience and shared his wife's good humour. (As did his sister, my one of a kind Grandma). Both sadly now long gone, while Joyce now too has passed, aged 93.

Joyce's family paid tribute to her dramatic wartime experience in France during Monty's campaigns, and are going to pull together more information on her work during the war as a record and to share with family.
