It wasn’t cold, air 23.5C, water 22.5, but conditions were rough. I thought I might have the pool to myself but three or four serious lap swimmers battled the swell and sea spray. Invigorating.

If a fish ’n’ chip shop had been open I would’ve got a Chiko Roll afterwards.
