Who's been eating all the mealworms?

Mr or Mrs Starling has discovered my bird feeder. Of course one starling looks much like another, so there may be several of them. I did some reading and found out that starlings are a red listed declining species, and that they need food too. My worry is that Mr or Mrs Starling may be scaring away other smaller users of the feeder. It does feel like a bit of a takeover. I’m going to let the thing empty today then top it up tonight when the starlings should be paying less attention. The wee birds tend to be the early shift, so hopefully they will get there first in the morning. Oh, all this responsibility!
