high five - goat style
what a day! after a late night due to ice-hockey-watching-duty, we got up not-very-early to go and look at goats and they were sweet and we liked them and we wanted to bring them home with us. All of them but especially the babies. Sam the dog rejoiced in the wonders of the goat show which, for him, was full of goat bum just at his nose level. Paradise!
After that, we came home and had a big breakfast (shortly after lunchtime) and then we cleaned, ripped out the old washing machine including the flooring of the room, took down the Christmas decorations, did boring admin and learning for tests, put the roaming kitten back in the kitten-nest for the millionth time and then we went to the leisure centre to get some leisure. The grown-ups enjoyed the freedom of children who are independent and can all swim and touch the bottom with their feet - it certainly makes swimming more leisurely and less like a stress-fest. I was even allowed to go in the sauna while they all went on the Big Slide I Am Scared Of (I'm very brave when it comes to swimming, I only just cope with the fact that the water is wet). And we came home and eat spaghetti and the youngsters went to bed while us big uns finished off some boring and not boring tasks before we crash into bed ready to start a week that seems to have too many appointments per day in it.......
