A new home

Left Funchal by bus over to Porto Moniz, 2 buses actually. Quite a tour of the west of the island and it was a relief to arrive in PM. We had an Airbnb booked and the lovely hosts picked us up from the bus stop and took us up to the little house - all for us! It’s a fab spot so we are very pleased but it is up a steep hill. Well this is Madeira.
We had a wander round the little town - it’s very much a seaside resort with a fabulous outdoor swimming pool in the rocks - and another which is also a rock pool but more natural (and free). This little crab was lurking at the pool side, probably relives that all the swimmers had left for the day.
