Demolition and (the beginnings of) Reinstatement

Having gotten sticker shock from the cost to remove and replace the decking we took it upon ourselves to repair what we've got and tart it up a bit.
First things first - remove the balustrade - this exposed some rot, mainly where the balustrade had trapped water causing some boards to fail. 
I don't know why I didn't do a "before" photo and just have the mid-way picture.
Some jet washing to remove some of the dirt is required,  but a good paint after that should have it back to being ship shape - ready for our glorious summertime.
