Good bye Ark Royal

The Ark Royal left Portsmouth for the last time today. It was towed away to Turkey to be scrapped.
I went down in my lunch time to watch it leaving. It's the first time I have seen a navy ship leaving or arriving. There was a lot of people lining the hot walls. It was very quiet as the boat was towed past us, apart from one of the boats playing Rule Britannia.
I met Sadie down there, she found it all quite emotional and loved the final opportunity to sketch the Ark Royal.
